![]() ![]() Delivering a unique mix of Empire Building, Role Playing and Warfare, Age of Wonders III offers the ultimate in turn-based fantasy strategy for veterans of the series and new players alike! ![]() I prefer quality and balance and more challenge, immersion and engagement and taking my time.About This Game Age of Wonders III is the long anticipated sequel to the award-winning strategy series. I don't like how fast the game naturally snowballs and it becomes all about volume rather than quality with traditional settings. I love having only one hero, and also developing the experience of my troops so they become the main core of my Army, even into the late game as my veterans. So it is far more challenging because you have to manage your choices, your troops and economy a lot tighter.Īnd I just prefer to have everything be more meaningful and more immersive and attached to the units and hero. But you have to really think, because you won't have all your over powered spells and units until a lot later. ![]() ![]() But that is how most games end up regardless of settings, this just takes more time, but a decisive battle is inevitable and that is what makes it great. The only time it gets boring is when you have already conquered a couple cities and now are in a dominant position and winning is just a matter of time. But that is why I am looking for others who enjoy the game the same way as me, so we can enjoy it together. It was an evolution to reach these settings. Yes I only play like this now, I love it. Which is far more exciting.Īlso every battle is crucial, which is far more interesting than fast snow ball the way most people play. Because If you make mistakes, you don't have a large economy or expansion to easily get you out of trouble, so every decision is far more important and crucial. That is not true at all, the turns and movement are very important and every decision you make is very important. ![]()
